Rookie Zetterberg is out for weekend

DETROIT -- The Red Wings withstood a barrage of penalties Wednesday to salvage a tie with the Los Angeles Kings.
Unfortunately for the Wings, they couldn't withstand bad news Thursday: Rookie sensation Henrik Zetterberg will not play this weekend.
Zetterberg, a forward, suffered a pulled groin in Wednesday's 3-3 tie, a game that featured 18 penalties, 10 against the Wings.
"I can't foresee him being in the lineup in either of those games," Coach Dave Lewis said of tonight's home game against Pittsburgh and Saturday's game at Nashville. "I don't think he'll be ready for that health-wise."
Zetterberg said he felt a pull while on a two-on-one rush with defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom late in the first period. Zetterberg went to the bench shortly thereafter and didn't return.
Forward Jason Williams, a healthy scratch the last four games, will play in Zetterberg's place.
Lewis also said there's a good chance the Wings would call up a forward from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League today -- possibly Sean Avery or Stacy Roest.
